School Information
Rainbow International School(RIS) is proud to serve the international community of Korea with its Elementary & Middle School Campus in Yangjae, and Kindergarten Campus in Yeoksam, Seoul. RIS was established in 2007, and RIS already has students representing 28 different nationalities. Rainbow International School is strongly committed to developing an international and multicultural perspective among our students and parents. We are working with other schools around the world, and setting new standards of excellence to prepare our students to meet the challenges of the future.

R.I.S is one of the international schools accredited by the Seoul Ministry of Education and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). RIS provides a high-quality all-English education for students from three years of age (nursery) through Middle School [K-8]. |

Tuition and Fees |
Elementary School Tuition Fee for Grade [1-5] 13,000,000 KRW* + 3,000 USD Middle School Tuition Fee for Grade [6-8] 14,000,000 KRW* + 3,000 USD * Annual tuition fee does not include the additional fees. ** School uniform must be purchased by the parents from the specific store that will be announced by school administration. | |
Admission Requirements |
1. The applicant must hold a non-Korean passport with valid Korean visa or re-entry permit. 2. An applicant, who holds permanent residency in a country outside of Korea, because they have lived abroad for a number of years, may also be considered for enrollment. In this case, the applicant must also hold and maintain a valid re-entry permit, if issued by their country of residence, demonstrating their intent to return to their country of residence for the purpose of settlement. 3. A child from a marriage where one parent is Korean and the other partner is an expatriate. 4. Ethnic Korean children who hold a foreign passport. 5. Korean children who were educated overseas for at least 3 years. 6. Legally adopted Korean child by an expatriate family. Admissions Checklist 1. A completed application form 2. A completed Student Evaluation Form for Grades 1-3 Confidential Letter of Recommendation for Grades 4-8 3. Registration processing fee of 500,000 KRW per applicant. 4. Two(2) photographs (3 cm x 4 cm) 5. Photocopies of the title page of passports (child, father and mother) 6. Photocopies of Alien Registration Card 7. Official transcripts from the past two school years 8. Completed Medical History Form and Report of Medical Examination. You may send documents as they become available to you. However applicants will not be considered until all the documents and fees have been received.T | |
Application Procedure |
The completed application form, with the students photo and other documents specified by the school should be returned to the Admissions Office by mail, fax or in person. If you fax the application, please call ths school to confirm receipt and bring the original copies on the interview date. Each application is for one child only and carries a non-refundable fee of 100,000 KRW for each child applying. This fee should be remitted to the school bank account at the time of application and the transfer receipt attached to the application documents.
